Rabbits Exploring & Playing

When bunnies aren't lazily snoozing, they like to play and explore. Anything new is fair game and demands to be investigated. Even re-arranged furniture will  be noticed and investigated.

I regularly switch out cardboard boxes, tunnels and toys. A box that has been set aside for several days, becomes something new to discover all over again. Re-arranging boxes and tunnels also provides interest and mental stimulation.

Go to the VIDEOS tab to find more play and mischief in action.

Not all rabbits will venture on to a couch. This one seems to like high places.

"What? The couch isn't for me?"

Why go inside the cage when the view is better from above?

Old towels can make great fun. (Just be sure your individual bunny doesn't try to ingest it.)

Kale makes a healthy snack. However it should not be fed every day because of its high calcium content. Provide a variety of greens daily.

Even an empty paper bag can make a fun hidey area.

These two mischief makers may look innocent but they are scheming to sabotage the train. Shortly after the photo, they pulled the cars off the tracks!

These guys are playing with cardboard & plastic tunnels. They are in a limited area (x-pen) since they are newly bonded. It is best to limit their roaming area early on. Too much space, too soon can cause bonding problems.

Most bunnies will chew cords that are in reach. See how this one is protected at the bunny proofing tab. Or click on the picture for a larger view.
